Ralph Valentin is a Doctor of Engineering (D.Eng.) student in the Department of Multidisciplinary Engineering, and he will join the Optical Bio-Sensing Lab (OBSL) in Fall 2024. His focus will be on developing wearable and noninvasive point-of-care biomedical devices to monitor physiological parameters. Prior to pursuing his D.Eng., he completed his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and Master of Science in Engineering Management at Florida International University. With over 5 professional years of cumulative technical and leadership experience, his expertise lies in project management, design verification and validation, design control, test methods development, process development, and improvement. Ralph has also served in the United States Military as both an enlisted member and a commissioned officer. He is currently an Engineer Officer in the Army Reserve.
