Optical Bio-Sensing Laboratory

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

Malorie Wilson

Malorie is an undergraduate biomedical engineering student at Texas A&M University who joined the Optical Biosensing Laboratory (OBSL) in January 2026. With an interest in biomechanics and medical device innovation, she is particularly interested in how mechanical systems interact with biological tissues and translating those principles into impactful healthcare technologies. Her current research focuses on designing and developing a biomimetic finger phantom to enable standardized testing of wearable health devices. Her work integrates CAD modeling, rapid prototyping, material selection, and mechanical validation to recreate physiologically relevant finger properties for device evaluation.
